Here is a quick story I forgot to tell from that tourist trap at the Great Wall, the place that was selling ancient Chinese porn in the back.
As I was wandering around the front part of the store, there was a stand with lots of names written in Chinese calligraphy. I almost fell over when I saw they had also written some famous people’s names. Here is what I saw…
NBA stars… and the very first one was Carlos Boozer! Go Duke!!! Ha!
So, I thumbed through the 10 or so other NBA stars who’s names had been turned into Chinese characters. Two of them really made me laugh…
Here is what I wonder… if they could not spell the names correctly in English, how do we know the Chinese spelling is correct ;)
