The end of the saga of the luggage

When we last saw our garment bag, it was in the Atlanta airport. We left, but the bag spent a couple days there before being flown to JFK. It then spent a couple days seeing the sights in the underbelly of JFK, awaiting a flight to Tokyo (that is as close as Delta could get it to Beijing). It finally arrived in Tokyo and had to hustle make a connection onto a flight to Beijing that left 45 minutes later. The bag made the connection and then spent the night in the Beijing airport, terminal #3, which is 7 kilometers away from terminal #2 (where we are going today to fly to Tibet).

I am thrilled to report that yesterday afternoon, more than 5 days after we last saw it, our long, lost garment bag was returned to us. Kathy no longer has to wash her underwear every single night! The bag has some damage on it, but seems mostly fine. Finally!!!

We are about to leave for Tibet. There is a ton more about Beijing I need to write, but am in a rush. I’ll get it on the blog as soon as a I can. Want a tease? My next few posts will involve toilets and ancient Chinese porn!
